But Why Zimbabwe?

Simon first visited this country in 2007 on a Christian holiday, when God started to speak to him and challenge him about his future.

He was already impacted by the beauty of this country, the goodness of the people, and their sincere love for Jesus; but it was whilst he was there that God put Zimbabwe firmly into his heart and changed his life.

A short while after this holiday God took Simon out of full time employment and into Argentina to train him as a missionary with YWAM, and after taking his DTS God called him and challenged him to stay in Argentina full time and take more training in the practical side of the calling for Africa – ie with leadership roles, general building and construction skills, leading teams in to transcultural environments, teaching, events, starting up ministries, and the logistic organisation of a YWAM base, etc…

On a DTS outreach trip to Zimbabwe in 2013 Yanil felt the Lord confirm to her that this was also her calling, a family calling, not just a calling for Simon which she needed to follow as a dutiful wife.

She too saw the beauty of the country and the people.

Here God put a new heart and desire, a new purpose, in her for the future.

Since then we have been praying for the future that He has for us, and been waiting on His timing for this to come to fruition.
