Location: The Republic of Zimbabwe, formerly Rhodesia, is a landlocked country located in southern Africa, between the Zambezi and Limpopo Rivers, bordered by South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, and Mozambique.
Capital: HARARE – Zimbabwe’s capital city of Harare serves as the country’s political, economic and cultural centre, and has a population of more than 1.6 million in the city and 2.8 million in the metropolitan area.
Harare is the largest city; with the second largest being Bulawayo – which has a population of roughly half the size of the capital.
Language: Zimbabwe has 16 official languages, with English, Shona, and Ndebele the most commonly used.
